Protective Styling — The Chi Bella Method™

 

At Chi Bella, protective styling is about more than completing a style—it is about protecting the hair underneath it.

 

Our approach focuses on hair retention, hydration, scalp care, and minimizing unnecessary shedding and breakage throughout the protective styling process. Hair is carefully handled and detangled using techniques designed to reduce excessive pulling and manipulation, while our cleansing and hydration process prepares the hair and scalp before styling.

 

We incorporate our vegan-based cleansing and conditioning system, natural ingredients, and exclusive Promise Kept™ in-house products to support moisture retention and help address concerns such as dryness and scalp discomfort.

 

Because healthy hair is a journey, our team also educates you on maintaining your hair and scalp while wearing your protective style and preparing your hair for what comes next.

 

You may work with different Chi Bella stylists who specialize in various braiding and protective styling techniques, but the foundation remains the same:

Extended Protective Style Deposit Policy

 

Protective styles requiring 4 hours or more require a 20% deposit to reserve the stylist's extended appointment time. Your deposit is applied 100% toward your service balance and is due upon receipt. Appointments remain pending until the deposit is received. If not your received by the end of business, the appointment will be released. 

 

Cancellation Terms:

72+ hours: Deposit eligible for refund.

48–72 hours: Deposit transferred to store credit.

Less than 48 hours: Deposit is forfeited.

 

Extended appointments reserve a significant portion of the stylist's schedule, and these timeframes allow us a reasonable opportunity to offer that time to another guest.
